R&M Roofing and Exteriors (“we”, “us”), 11278 Fillmore St NE, Blaine, MN 55434, operates the R&M Roofing mobile application (iOS and Android) and related web/desktop builds. This Privacy Policy describes what we collect when you use the app—including guest browsing, email / Google / Apple sign-in, roof estimate requests, inspection requests, project gallery, push notifications, and (for authorized staff) admin tools.
1. Who this policy covers
- Customers / homeowners who browse content or submit estimate or inspection requests
- Guests who browse without an account
- Signed-in users (email, Continue with Google, or Sign in with Apple)
- Company staff / admins who manage requests, catalog, and quoting inside the app
2. App features that involve data
- Company home content, services, contact, and project gallery (before & after)
- Roof estimate wizard — address / map pin, satellite roof outline & approximate square footage, stories, pitch/complexity, materials and Good/Better/Best plans, add-ons, optional budget notes, camera or library photos, review & submit
- Inspection request wizard — contact details, home type, property address / location, issue details, current materials, photos, and submit for scheduling follow-up
- Account — profile (name, email, optional phone / saved home info / avatar when provided by sign-in)
- Request history — your submitted estimates and inspections and status updates
- Push notifications — optional status alerts (for example estimate or inspection updates)
- Admin tools (staff only) — reviewing customer requests, catalog / pricing configuration, job-math factors, and related business operations
3. Information we collect
Account and identity
- Name, email address, and phone number (when you provide them)
- Password (if you use email sign-in — stored by our auth provider in hashed form; we do not see your Google or Apple password)
- If you use Continue with Google or Sign in with Apple: name, email, and profile image when the provider shares them
- Optional profile fields such as saved home address or house type when you save them in the app
Estimate and inspection content you submit
- Property address, city, and related location text
- Map or GPS pin (if you allow location or drop a pin) used to place the home on a map / satellite view
- Roof outline points and approximate measured area from the satellite measurement tool
- Stories, pitch / complexity, project type (for example repair or re-roof), materials, plan tier, add-ons, and free-text notes or budget preferences
- Inspection-specific details (for example home type, issue type, current roofing material, stains or damage notes, preferred contact info)
- Photos and short videos you capture with the camera or pick from your library for estimates or inspections
Device and notifications
- Push notification device tokens (Firebase Cloud Messaging / Apple Push) linked to your user account and platform (iOS or Android)
- Basic technical / session data needed to keep you signed in and run the app securely
Content you only view
- Browsing public company content and gallery projects does not require an account; we do not sell browsing data to advertisers
4. How we use information
- Create and secure your account; show your estimate and inspection requests
- Prepare roofing / exterior estimates, schedule or follow up on inspections, and communicate about your project
- Show maps, satellite imagery, and address lookup so you can pin and outline a roof
- Send optional push notifications about request status, quotes, and related updates
- Display company services, gallery, and contact information
- Let authorized staff review requests, manage catalog pricing, and operate the business tools in the app
- Protect accounts, prevent abuse, and comply with law
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your estimate or inspection photos for advertising networks.
5. Location
Location permission is optional and used while you use the app (When In Use) to help pin your property for estimate or inspection workflows. You can instead type an address or place a map pin manually. We do not use location for advertising or sell it to data brokers. You can deny or revoke access in device settings; some map features may then require a typed address.
6. Photos, camera, and library
Roof and property media from camera or photo library are used only to quote, inspect, and perform work you requested. Do not upload images of people who have not agreed, or files unrelated to the property. Photos are stored with your request so our estimators and crew can review them.
7. Sign-in with Google or Apple
Those providers authenticate you. We receive the account information they allow (typically name, email, and sometimes a profile photo) and use it only to create or sign in to your R&M Roofing account. Authentication for the app is handled through our backend (Supabase), not as a separate “Firebase Auth” login for Google/Apple in the customer flow.
8. Push notifications
With your permission we register a device token so we can send status updates (for example when an estimate is ready or an inspection is updated). Tokens are stored with your account. You can disable notifications in system settings, or ask us to remove device records using the contact email below. Delivery uses Firebase Cloud Messaging; on iOS, Apple’s push service may be used for delivery.
9. Sharing and service providers
We use trusted processors to run the app:
- Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage for request photos / media
- Firebase (Google) — push message delivery (FCM)
- Map / imagery / geocoding providers — for example satellite map tiles and address lookup so maps and roof outline tools work
- Google / Apple — only if you choose their sign-in buttons (per their policies)
We share request details with R&M crew and authorized staff to fulfill your estimate or inspection. We may disclose information if required by law. We do not share your data with advertisers.
10. Estimates, inspections, and indicative pricing
Information tied to estimate and inspection requests (including photos, addresses, roof outlines, materials, and notes) is used for the work you asked for. Any instant price range in the app is indicative only; the official number is what our team sends after review.
11. Retention
We keep account, estimate, and inspection records as long as needed to serve you and meet legal, insurance, or warranty needs, then delete or anonymize them when no longer required. Device tokens are kept while you use notifications and may be removed when you sign out or request deletion.
12. Your choices and rights
- Browse as a guest without creating an account
- Sign in with email, Google, or Apple (where available)
- Deny camera, photos, location, or notification permission (some features will be limited)
- Request access, correction, or deletion of your account or specific requests by emailing us below
13. Children
This app is for homeowners and property managers. It is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
14. Security
We use industry-standard providers and access controls (including signed-in sessions and role-based admin access). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please use a strong password for email accounts and protect your device.
15. Changes
We may update this policy as the app changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
